Tasmania 11-18 Sep 2017




The Clearance Divers Association 2017 Tasmanian Reunion will provide a lifetime adventure from 11-18 September 2017; we are honoured to share our state and some awesome attractions that will inspire your imagination.

We are planning a traveling road show of activities and venues across the state, from the Wild West Wilderness of Strahan to the thriving waterfront metropolis of Hobart, an opportunity to climb aboard the bubblies bus or tag along for the tour in your own comfort.

Some of the items on our planning schedule include the following;

Welcome Event

Event and venue to be confirmed, however we will be holding a welcome get together to welcome all to Hobart for this historic event.

West Coast 11-13 September

Depart Hobart by bus in the early hours of Monday 11 Sept for an adventurous trip to the West Coast, we will be stopping along the way at Derwent Bridge for lunch(self funded) and the Wall in the wilderness(A must see).

Cost = for return trip $100 per person

Hotel accommodation Strahan Village (Mon, Tue)

A hotel package has been arranged in the Strahan Village which includes full breakfast twin share for $360 per person for two nights.  Single occupancy is still $360 so we suggest  you find a mate to share at half the cost.








Wilderness BBQ Dinner View 42/The Deck, Mon 11 Sept


A full wilderness BBQ will be held on the Monday evening show casing some of Tassies finest foods.

Cost $75 per head


Gordon River Cruise Tue 12th  Sept

Tuesday we will embark on a cruise through hells gate and along the Gordon River.  Lunch is included

Cost = $95 per person


West Coast Wilderness Rail Trip Strahan to Queenstown Wed 13th Sept


Formerly known as the ‘Abt Railway’, this rack and pinion system wrestles steep gorges, thick forests and wild rivers and is considered to be one of Australia’s engineering marvels. Depart from the original harbour side Regatta Point Station in Strahan. Take in the fabulous harbour views as the train follows the foreshore and then the river as you journey deep into the rainforest and crossing the many bridges, including the formidable iron bridge.

Cost = $125 per person





Hobart Area 14-17

Parliament Reception Thu 14th Sept

The Tasmanian government have invited all members to a welcome function at parliament house on Thursday 14th Sept in recognition for the assistance that Clearance Divers provided when the Tasman bridge collapsed in 1975.

Cost = $10 per person

Government House Reception Fri 15th Sept

A formal reception is being held by invitation at the government house in Hobart. A chance to view an incredible historic house that overlooks the Derwent River and Hobart.

Cost = $10

Reunion Dinner Sat 16th Sept

Themed as underwater, it is a time to enjoy the Navy Jazz band. Catch up with old mates

Cost = $130 per person

Total Cost per person = $725 twin share
